Andrew Pierce, Ashley Hudson and the Hamburg congregation knew they could not return to the past. Ashley was just 17 years old and hadn't had a boyfriend so Andrew and Ashley took things very slow. The couple immediately fell in love. Andrew asked for Ashley on New Year's Eve, right ahead of the beginning of the new year in 2016, to God would grant him a last blessing this year. That Ashley would be his bride. Ashley was keen to have an all-wooden wedding, as it represented Andrew along with her. In order to create the perfect wedding, they took a bit from everything they adore. Ashley's family owned 40 acre within their backyard. Ashley was familiar with the entire area having walked through it and playing there. Andrew and Ashley had also walked the area multiple times before when they first started dating. Since the wedding was largely homemade, personalization played a big aspect. Andrew Ashley's father and Andrew designed the ceremony arch and the seating arrangements, and Ashley performed a lot of designing and painting. Ashley states that we could have never had the magic wedding I envisioned if we hadn't had Anna's flower design. Truly stunning.
